SQUAWK

If you were wondering which company was going to do the story about a penguin in the military, then you probably haven’t been following Walking Shadow Theatre Company.
The creators of last year’s Fringe hit Shakespeare’s Land of the Dead are back with a piece that, although not as loud as Land of the Dead, will still improve your fringe-going experience by at least 37%.
John Heimbuch clearly has a gift for writing plays that mash intelligence with absurdity, and it’s on display here.  With great performances from Ryan Lindberg and Peter Ooley, and under the skillful direction of Amy Rummenie, this is yet another show that needs to live on your 2009 Fringe List.
