Lies!
This show did not change my life. I’m still sitting here in my underwear blogging about the GD Fringe. What this show did do, however, was make me laugh quite a bit.
Anyone who knows anything about the MN Fringe will probably give David Mann the benefit of the doubt and walk right into the theatre without a second thought. The dude’s got a more-than-solid Fringe track record. Add the hefty humor of Scott Jorgenson, and you’ve got yourself a no-brainer, to be sure.
Don’t let the slightly boring premise (a Tony Robbins-like self-help seminar) keep you away. The show works. Period. That’s not to say it doesn’t have its slow moments. Would it turn Eugene O’Neill’s head? No. But it’s the Fringe, people. Take a deep breath and relax. And stop taking show titles literally.
